The 2nd student photo contest «Chania, Intercultural Encounters» has ended on Thursday, April 7th 2016.

In approaching the theme of this year's contest, students studying in the city of Chania have captured images of people, neighborhoods, monuments, nature and everyday moments, as well as images that describe the diversity, coexistence and interaction of peoples and cultures. This year, 57 students were participated in the photo contest, with 228 photographs, from which the jury selected the winning photos and the photos displayed in the exhibition.
The judges for the contest were the photographer Michalis Kalaitzakis, the architect Zaharias Pistopoulos, and Manolis Petrakis, member of Fotoskiasi.
Thirty-seven selected photos will be exhibited at the Sabbionara Gate, Koum Kapi in Chania from Friday, June 17th to Monday, June 20th, 19:00 to 22:00. The awards ceremony will take place on Saturday June, 18, 20:00 and during the exhibition of the photos in the Sabbionara Gate, Koum Kapi, Chania.
